the mega x-box

how popular is the x-box compared to the ps2? well... as you know the since the ps2 and x-box has been in the market there were more demands for the ps2 than there are for the x-box. i, myslef prefer the ps2 but that will change soon. microsoft is about to launch the x-box code name "xenon" soon. looks like x-box may be taking off in the console gaming industry. thus they are already a competitor but wait to see how far it will go with it's new features. i don't know a great deatail about what is coming out but the little that i know features: include improved communications tools for making multiplayer online gaming more convivial; Xenon's software menu would be similar to that of the company's Media Center edition of Windows and more. Here's a quote from Bill Gates himself, "If you're used to that menu, when you use this Xenon you'll see a menu a lot like that that lets you get photos, TV, music and all those different things." look out for it!

the reason why the ps2 is more popular is the backward compatibility with the original playstation meaning more games for the ps2. however, the x-box is not quite the situation. the idea about the x-box being a square box pc sounds cool and high-tech but is it really worth it? this is my opinion not facts. So, if you are a gamer and your decision to make in purchasing a console game which would you buy after hearing about the up-coming release about the x-box?
